Doctor Who hosts a QR code scavenger hunt at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego

This year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, California, is shaping up to be a spectacular event. Comic-Con is a gathering of all that is fantasy and science fiction. Everything from Transformers to Batman is represented at the convention. This year, the BBC will be attending the event, bringing with them the entire cast of Doctor Who, the acclaimed British science fiction show. The BBC will also be holding a contest which all attendees of the event are free to participate in. Dubbed “Doctor Who’s Clues QR Scavenger Hunt,” the contest seeks…

Lady Gaga and Starbucks team up for the hunt

As Starbucks embraces QR codes for a second time, they have partnered with Lady Gaga to host a two-week interactive scavenger hunt. Starting Thursday, Starbucks cafés around the country will have banners, magnetic chalkboards and posters emblazoned with a small QR code. When scanned, customers will receive a number of clues guiding them through the company’s seven-round scavenger hunt.
